Washing Machine Removal in Dubai: What the Crew Needs to Know First

A washing machine is denser than it looks and usually sits in the tightest room in the flat. Here’s what decides the job, and the one thing worth confirming before you book.

A washing machine is small enough to look like a one-person job and heavy enough that it isn't. The drum and counterweight put most of the mass low and central, so one that seems liftable at the front corner stops being liftable halfway to the door.

It is also, often, in one of the tightest rooms in the property.

The room is usually the problem, not the machine

A laundry recess or kitchen gap is sized to hold the appliance, which is not the same as being sized to get it back out past someone carrying it. The machine slides forward into a space that is already narrow, and then has to turn.

So the measurement that matters is not the machine. It is the route: the doorway out of the laundry, the turn into the hall, and anything fixed in between. A washer that comes out of its recess easily can still be stuck at the kitchen door.

This is why the most useful photo is not a close-up of the appliance. Send the machine and the space around it — the model does not matter to the job; the size and the route out do.

The one thing to confirm before you book

A machine that is still plumbed in cannot be trolleyed anywhere. Water supply and waste hose have to be disconnected, and the power disconnected too, before it can move.

Confirm when you book whether disconnection is included or whether you are arranging it. It takes one message to settle, and it is worth settling — a visit that arrives to a live appliance has no useful options. If a plumber is doing it, line that up first so the machine is disconnected and pulled clear before the crew arrives.

Upper floors, and buildings without a lift

Once it is disconnected, the rest is straightforward.

Two crew arrive with straps and a trolley, floors and lift interiors are protected on the way out, and the machine is loaded in the same visit — usually 30 to 60 minutes on site for a single appliance. Where a building requires the service lift to be booked, that is arranged as part of the job; building permissions covers how.

Where there is no lift, it goes down the stairs and stair carries are included. Worth flagging for a washing machine specifically, because a stair carry from an upper floor is a different job from a ground-floor collection. Say which floor you are on when you ask.

Sending it with everything else

A single appliance is a normal standalone pickup. If it is coming out during a renovation or a move-out, it can be quoted as part of that job instead of as its own visit.

A kitchen's worth of appliances during a handover is cleared with the house clearance and routed through appliance disposal; a single unit on its own is an appliance collection. Either way, the photo and the floor number do most of the work.

What to Do With Palm Fronds in Dubai

Fronds are heavy, sharp and awkward to bag, and they pile up fast after a trim. Here’s who does the cutting, who does the removal, and what a garden collection actually takes.
